ALLERWAY (capsules) SCHEDULING STATUS: S0 PROPRIETARY NAME (and dosage form): ALLERWAY (capsules) COMPOSITION Each capsule contains: 330 mg of a standardized proprietary herbal blend (NR-A2) containing extracts from: Tarminalia chebula Terminalia bellerica Emblica officinalis Piper longum Piper nigrum Zingiber officinale Albizia lebbeck PHARMACOLOGICAL CLASSIFICATION A 32.2 Other: Polyherbal medicine PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION In vitro, in vivo and human clinical studies have shown that the standardized polyherbal extract (NR-A2) in ALLERWAY stabilizes mast cells, inhibits trypsin activity, inhibits hyaluronidase activity, promotes anti-5- hydroxytryptamine activity, exhibits anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory effect and promotes antioxidant activity. INDICATIONS ALLERWAY is indicated for the alleviation and relief of the symptoms of allergic rhinitis such as nasal congestion, sneezing and rhinorrhoea (runny nose). CONTRA-INDICATIONS None known INTERACTIONS None known PREGNANCY AND LACTATION Safety during pregnancy and lactation has not been established. DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS FOR USE 2 capsules twice daily after meals for 6 –12 weeks, then 1 capsule twice daily, thereafter.
