COMPOSITION:
Each 5 mL (medicine measure) contains:
        
Dextromethorphan 
Hydrobromide        9,99 mg
        
Phenylephrine 
Hydrochloride        4,99 mg
        
Chlorpheniramine 
Maleate        1,00 mg
        
Glyceryl Guaiacolate
        30,24 mg
        Alcohol 12% v/v in a syrup base.

PHARMACOLOGICAL CLASSIFICATION:
A.10.1 Antitussives and Expectorants.
PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION:
Dristan* Decongestant Cough Medicine sedates the cough mechanism to give almost immediate relief. It also contains
ingredients which will ensure that when you do cough it is productive. The decongestant relieves the "stuffy" nose while
the antihistamine helps stop the "runny" nose.
INDICATIONS:
Dristan* Decongestant Cough Medicine is indicated for the long lasting relief of coughs due to colds, bronchitis or flu
and decongests all cold congested areas and helps raise phlegm.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS:
Previous hypersensitivity to any of the constituents.
WARNINGS:
The medicine may lead to drowsiness and impaired concentration, which may be aggravated by simultaneous intake
of alcohol or other C.N.S. depressant agents.
DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Adults:
        One or two 5 mL doses every 3 to 4 hours, not to exceed eight doses in 24 hours.
Children (6 - 12 years):
        Half of the adult dose every 3 to 4 hours, not to exceed four 5 mL doses in 24 hours.
