PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION: Local anti-infective. INDICATIONS: Germex Soluble Ointment has an antibacterial action against a number of gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria. It may be used for the treatment of superficial wounds, burns, ulcers and skin infections. CONTRA-INDICATIONS: Persons hypersensitive to Nitrofurazone. DIRECTIONS FOR USE: FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY. Apply to affected areas twice daily or as directed. SIDE-EFFECTS AND SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS: Cross-sensitisation with other Nitrofurans may occur. Treatment should be restricted to a 5 - 7 day period. KNOWN SYMPTOMS OF OVERDOSAGE AND PARTICULARS OF ITS TREATMENT: Polyneuritis, nausea, vomiting, joint pains and headaches. IDENTIFICATION: Yellow, opaque ointment.
