COMPOSITION:
Each 25 g contains:
 
NITROFURAZONE
50 mg
 
Water miscible base to 25 g
PHARMACOLOGICAL CLASSIFICATION:
A 14.1 Wound disinfectants.
PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION:
Local anti-infective.
INDICATIONS:
Germex Soluble Ointment has an 
antibacterial 
action against a number of gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria. It
may be used for the treatment of superficial wounds, burns, ulcers and skin infections.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS:
Persons hypersensitive to Nitrofurazone.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY.
Apply to affected areas twice daily or as directed.
SIDE-EFFECTS AND SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS:
Cross-sensitisation with other Nitrofurans may occur. Treatment should be restricted to a 5 - 7 day period.
KNOWN SYMPTOMS OF OVERDOSAGE AND PARTICULARS OF ITS TREATMENT:
Polyneuritis, nausea, vomiting, joint pains and headaches.
IDENTIFICATION:
Yellow, opaque ointment.
PRESENTATION:
Packs of 25 g and 500 g.
STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS:
Store below 25°C and protect from light.
Keep container tightly closed.
KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
