PHARMACOLOGICAL CLASSIFICATION:
13.9.2 Fungicides.
PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION:
The remedial action is due to the effective 
antifungal 
properties of zinc undecenoate and undecenoic acid. The astringent
action of the zinc reduces inflammation.
INDICATIONS:
AF Powder is indicated in the treatment of athlete’s foot, ringworm, dhobie itch and other fungal infections of superficial
areas.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS:
Not to be applied to open wounds.
WARNING:
FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY
DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Athlete’s foot:
Each morning after washing the feet with soap and warm water, dry gently but thoroughly and apply AF Powder on to the
skin into the socks and shoes.
In the evening AF Ointment should be applied between the toes and over the affected areas.
Ringworm, dhobie itch and other fungal infections:
The affected area should be washed with soap and water each morning, thoroughly dried and the powder dusted over the
affected areas. In the evening the ointment should be applied to the affected area.
As the fungus is very resistant, combined treatment with Ointment and Powder should be maintained until it is certain
that the infection is completely eliminated and cure effected.
To prevent the spread of the fungus it is essential that contaminated clothing and towels should be disinfected and
laundered apart from other articles.
SIDE-EFFECTS AND SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS:
Irritation may occur after topical application.
