WHAT INNOHEP
® IS AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR
innohep
®
belongs to a group of medicines called low molecular weight heparins
which
help to stop the blood from clotting.
innohep
®
is used in adults to treat:

Harmful blood clots that have formed in a vein deep inside your body.
This is usually in your leg (deep vein thrombosis or DVT for short).

Harmful blood clots that have formed may travel in your bloodstream
and then get
stuck in another blood vessel (thromboembolism). A clot may block the
blood
supply to your lungs (pulmonary embolism or PE for short). It can
cause breathing
difficulties.

Blood clots that have developed because of cancer and to prevent
further clots
from forming.

6.1 LIST OF EXCIPIENTS
Sodium metabisulfite
Sodium hydroxide (for pH-adjustment)
Water for injections
6.2 INCOMPATIBILITIES
In the absence of compatibility studies, this medicinal product must
not be mixed with other medicinal products.
6.3 SHELF LIFE
The shelf-life expiry date of this product shall be the date shown on
the container and outer package of the product on
the market in the country of origin.
Any portion of the contents not used at once should be discarded. The
liquid may turn yellow in storage but this does
not affect product quality.
6.4 SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS FOR STORAGE
Do not store above 25°C.
For storage conditions after first opening of the medicinal product,
see section 6.3.
