EFFECTS OF THIS MEDICINE
This medicine increases secretion of respiratory mucus and promotes
lubrication of the
respiratory tract to help expectoration of phlegm. It also helps
drainage from sinus to improve
symptoms such as nasal congestion.
It is usually used for expectoration of phlegm in bronchitis,
bronchial asthma, bronchiectasis,
pulmonary tuberculosis, pneumoconiosis or postoperative difficulty in
expectoration of
phlegm. It is also used for drainage of pus in chronic sinusitis.
