Rosuvastatin-Medo is not intended for children and adolescents under
the age of 18.
1.WHAT IS THE MEDICINE INTENDED FOR?
Rosuvastatin-Medo is indicated for treatment of adults with:
•
primary hypercholesterolemia (type IIa including heterozygous familial
hypercholesterolemia)
(conditions when the blood cholesterol level is high) or type IIb
mixed dyslipidemia (a
disorder in the level of various blood lipids). The medicine is given
as an adjunct to diet when
response to diet and other non-pharmacological treatments (e.g.
exercise weight reduction)
is inadequate
•
homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (conditions when the blood
