WHAT FUROSEMIDE S.A.L.F. IS AND WHAT IT
IS USED FOR
FUROSEMIDE
S.A.L.F.
contains
the
active
ingredient furosemide belonging to a group of
medicines called “diuretics”, used to facilitate the
elimination of excess fl uids.
FUROSEMIDE S.A.L.F. 20 MG/2 ML SOLUTION
FOR INJECTION IS INDICATED TO TREAT:
-
any forms of edema, i.e. swelling due to liquid
accumulation, caused by heart problems (for
example, due to heart failure);
-
ascites, i.e. swelling due to liquid accumulation
in the peritoneum, the membrane that covers
the abdominal organs) that may be caused by
liver problems (liver cirrhosis), by obstruction
problems of some organs or blood vessels or by
heart failure;
-
edema
caused
by
kidney
problems
(like in nephrotic syndrome, where it
may be used along with other ACTH
medicines
or
corticosteroids)
or
obstruction problems of some organs
or blood vessels;
-
swelling due to accumulation of fl uid
in the extremities (peripheral edema);
-
slightly
or
moderately
high
blood
pressure.

FOR INFUSION IS INDICATED ONLY IN THE FOLLOWING
CASES:
-
if you have severe kidney problems like
• very compromised glomerular fi ltration,
