WHAT PROBENECID BIOKANOL® IS FOR AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR?
Probenecid Biokanol® is a medication to increase the excretion of
uric acid.
PROBENECID BIOKANOL® IS USED:
As treatment for all forms of increased levels of uric acid in the
bloodstream (hyper uricaemia) and
second diseases (such as gout), which can be caused by an increase of
uric acid in the
bloodstream, apart from
-
kidney damage caused by uric acid (urate nephropathy),
-
uric acid stones (urate nephrolithiasis)
-
inherited metabolic disorders (primarily uricaemia) associated with
overproduction of uric
acid.
-
secondary hyper uricaemia caused by a medicinal treatment or
radiotherapy of tumors
Notice: Treatment should be started only in cases of serum uric acid
levels of 8.5 mg/100 ml and
more, when these cannot be controlled by diet.

WHAT YOU HAVE TO CONSIDER BEFORE YOU TAKE PROBENECID BIOKANOL® ?
PROBENECID BIOKANOL® MUST NOT BE USED,

in cases of hypersensitivity to probenecid or any of the other
ingredients of Probenecid
Biokanol®,

attention should be paid to a possible cross allergy between
sulfonamide diuretics,
probenecid, sulfamethoxazol and sulf
