STORAGE AND DISPOSAL
KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. Store in the closed, original container
in a dry, cool, well ventilated locked room or place
away from children, animals, food, feedstuffs, seed and fertilisers.
Do not store for prolonged periods in direct sunlight.
Shake box empty into spray tank. Single rinse bag before disposal. Add
rinsings to spray tank. DO NOT dispose of undiluted
chemicals on site. Puncture and bury empty containers in a local
authority landfill. If no landfill is available, bury the container
below 50Omm in a disposal pit specifically marked and set up for the
purpose clear of waterways, desirable vegetation and tree
roots. Empty containers and product should not be burnt.
SAFETY DIRECTIONS
Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Do not inhale dust or spray mist. If
product on skin, immediately wash area with soap and
water. After use and before eating, drinking or smoking, wash hands,
arms and face thoroughly with soap and water.

If poisoning occurs contact a doctor or Poisons Information Centre.

POTENTIAL HEALTH EFFECTS: This section
includes possible adverse effects, which could occur if
this material is not handled in the recommended
manner.
EYE: May be an eye irritant.
SKIN: Contact with skin may result in irritation.
INGESTION: No adverse effects expected, however
large amounts may cause nausea and vomiting.
INHALATION: Inhalation of dust may result in
respiratory irritation.
SYSTEMIC (other target organ): Evidence form
animals tests that repeated or prolonged exposure to
Diuron could result in liver and blood disorders.
CANCER INFORMATION: Studies in animals have
shown that repeated doses do not produce
carcinogenic effects.
4. FIRST AID:
If poisoning occurs, immediately contact a doctor or
POISONS INFORMATION CENTRE (TELEPHONE 13 11 26),
and follow the advice given. Show this Material Safety
Data Sheet to a doctor.
EYE: Rinse immediately with plenty of water for at
least 15 minutes, holding eye open and taking care to
rinse under eyelids as well. If irritation persist seek
medical attention.
SKIN: Wash off skin immediately with soap and plenty
of water. Remove all contaminated clothing and
shoes. Seek medical advice if irritation persists.
Launder contaminated clothing before re-use.
INGESTION: Wash out mouth with water. Do not
induce vomiting. Keep patient at rest and seek
medical advice.
