For treatment and control of roundworms (including arterial larval
stages of Strongylus
vulgaris and benzimidazole resistant small strongyles), bots, and skin
lesions caused by
Habronema and Draschia spp. (summer sores) and Onchocerca spp.
microfilariae
(cutaneous onchocerciasis).
At the recommended dose level of 200μg ivermectin/kg liveweight,
Bimectin Paste controls
the following parasites of horses:
Large Strongyles: Strongylus vulgaris (adult and arterial larval
stages), Strongylus
edentatus (adults and tissue stages), Strongylus equinus (adults),
Triodontophorus spp.
(adults) and Craterostomum acuticaudatum (adults).
Small Strongyles: Including benzimidazole resistant strains of adult
and immature:
Cyathostomum spp., Cylicocyclus spp., Cylicostephanus spp.,
Cylicodontophorus spp.,
Gyalocephalus spp., Coronocyclus spp., Parapoteriostomum spp.,
Petrovinema spp. and
Poteriostomum spp.
Pinworm: Oxyuris equi (adult and immature)
Ascarids (roundworm): Parascaris equorum (adult and immature)
Hairworm: Trichostrongylus axei (adult)
Large Mouth Stomach Worm: Habronema muscae (adult)
Neck Threadworm: Onchocerca spp (microfilariae)
