STORAGE AND DISPOSAL
Store
in
the
closed,
original
container in
a
cool,
well-ventilated
area.
Do
not
store
for
prolonged periods in direct sunlight.
DO
NOT store near food, feedstuffs, fertilisers or seed.
Rinse container before disposal. Add rinsings to the spray tank.
Do
not dispose of undiluted
chemicals
on
site. Dispose of at a local authority landfill. If no landfill
is
available bury the
containers below 500
mm
in
a disposal pits specifically marked and set up for this purpose
clear of waterways, desirable vegetation and tree roots. Empty
containers and product should
not
be
burnt.
SMALL
SPILL MANAGEMENT
Wear protective equipment (see SAFETY DIRECTIONS). Apply absorbent
material such as
earth,
sand, cat litter or clay granules to the spill. Sweep up material when
absorption
is
completed and contain
in
a refuse vessel for disposal
in
the same manner
as
for containers
(see STORAGE AND DISPOSAL section).
If spilled inside a building wash contaminated
surfaces
to
deactivate
the
Chlorpyrifos
with
a
solution
of bleach
(sodium
hypochlorite)
prepared according to the bleach label instructions.

HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
ACUTE EFFECTS
SWALLOWED: The concentrate is moderately toxic. Small amounts swallowed incidental to normal
handling operations are not likely to cause injury. However,
swallowing larger quantities may
cause serious injury or even death. If the liquid entered
the lungs it may cause lungs injury or
even death due to pneumonia.
EYE: Moderately irritating to the eyes. Vapors may irritate the
eyes.
SKIN: Prolonged exposure may cause skin irritation. No
evidence of skin sensitization during
manufacturing.
INHALATION: Inhalation of excessive amount of spray may cause
cholinesterase inhibition.
