GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
This product is an early post emergence herbicide for controlling a
wide range of broadleaf weeds in bulb
rooted beet crops; red beet, fodder beet, sugar beet and mangolds. It
acts by both root and leaf
absorption, but root absorption and residual activity is reduced as
soil organic matter increases.
MIXING
Tank mixing with other beet selective herbicides is recommended to
improve the spectrum of weeds
controlled but care must be taken to ensure that the vigour of the
beet crop is not compromised. Some
temporary leaf tip burn may occur under hot, dry conditions.
APPLICATION
Apply 6.0kg in 200-300L of water/ha using conventional spray
equipment.
COMPATIBILITY
Donaghys Metamitron 700 is recommended to be applied with Donaghys
Wetter Sticker surfactant.
Metamitron 700 is also compatible with other fodderbeet herbicides
such Donaghys Ethofumesate 500 SC.
RESISTANCE MANAGEMENT
Naturally occurring biotypes resistant to triazinones can become more
prevalent after many years of
continuous use. To delay the onset of, or control resistant weeds, use
in rotation with herbicides having a
different mode of action against the weed. Since the occurrence of
resistant weeds is difficult to detect
prior to use Donaghys Limited accepts no liability for losses that may
result from failure of this product to
control resistant weeds.
