1. WHAT IS CONTAINED IN FENISTIL GEL?
1 g of Fenistil Gel contains 1 mg of dimetindene maleate as
active ingredient.
Excipients with known effect: Propylene glycol and
benzalkonium chloride solution 50%
Other excipients: Carbomer, Sodium Hydroxide, Disodium
edetate, purified water.
2. WHAT IS FENISTIL GEL AND WHAT IS IT USED FOR?
Fenistil gel is effective against skin disorders with itching, for
example, insect bites, mild localised sunburn, small surface
burns, and localised allergic dermatoses. The gel base
facilitates the penetration of the active ingredient into the skin,
in this way the itching and irritation is rapidly relieved (after a
few minutes).
3. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE YOU USE FENISTIL GEL?
A. DO NOT USE FENISTIL GEL IN CASES OF:

Hypersensitivity to the active ingredient dimetindene maleate
or to any of the excipients listed above

The product cannot be used as a treatment for known
allergies to insect bites (systemic pharmaceutical forms are
available for this purpose).
B. WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS

Do not give the product to children under 2 years of age
without a medical prescription.

Avoid applying over large areas, especially in infants and
young children.
