WHAT IRINOTECAN MOOSMANN IS AND
WHAT IT IS USED FOR?
Irinotecan Moosmann belongs to a group of
medicines called cytostatics (anti-cancer agents).
Irinotecan Moosmann is used to treat metasta-
tic cancer of the colon/rectum in adults, either
alone or combined with other medicines.
2. BEFORE YOU USE IRINOTECAN MOOSMANN
DO NOT USE IRINOTECAN MOOSMANN
– If you are hypersensitive (allergic) to irino-
tecan hydrochloride 3 H
2
O or to any of the
other ingredients of Irinotecan Moosmann
– If you have another type of colon disease
or
have
previously
suffered
from
bowel
obstruction
– If you are pregnant or breast-feeding
– If you have increased levels of bilirubin (more
than three times the upper limit of normal) in
your blood
– If you have severe bone marrow dysfunction
– If you are in poor general health (based on an
international standard)
– If you are taking St John’s wort (_Hypericum _
_perforatum_).
TAKE SPECIAL CARE WITH IRINOTECAN MOOSMANN
This medicine is intended for adults only. If this
medicine has been prescribed for use in a child,
please discuss this with your doctor.
Special care is also required in elderly patients.
