IVOMEC is a ready to use, 0.08% w/v solution of ivermectin, an
avermectin and a member of the avermectin/milbemycin family. It is
effective against internal parasites sensitive to this family.
Resistance
can develop to any chemical.
Ask your local veterinary practitioner or animal health adviser for
recommended parasite management practices for your area to reduce
development of resistance.
INDICATIONS:
SHEEP: Effective for the treatment and control of mixed infections of
all
stages of gastrointestinal roundworms including strains of _Haemonchus
_
_contortus, Ostertagia circumcincta_ and _Trichostrongylus
colubriformis_
that have been demonstrated in overseas trials to be tolerant to
benzimidazole, levamisole and morantel and against _Nematodirus _
_spathiger_ tolerant to _benzimidazoles_ and _Haemonchus contortus_
tolerant to rafoxanide. Also effective against lungworm (_Dictyocaulus
_
_filaria_), itch mite (_Psorergates ovis_) and all larval stages of
nasal bot
(_Oestrus ovis_).
GOATS: Highly effective for the treatment and control of mixed
infections
of gastrointestinal parasites and lungworm (_Dictyocaulus filaria_).
