INTRODUCTION:
The ability of IVOMEC to deliver internal and external parasite
control in
one low volume injection has been demonstrated in cattle markets
around
the world. Now, Merial offers users dosing flexibility in a topically
applied,
systemically-active formulation. Discovered and developed by
scientists
from Merck Research Laboratories, IVOMEC Pour-On for Cattle and Deer
contains ivermectin, a unique chemical entity. Its convenience, broad-
spectrum efficacy and wide safety margin make it an ideal product for
parasite control in cattle and deer.
INDICATIONS:
IVOMEC Pour-On for Cattle and Deer is a ready to use solution of
ivermectin (5 mg/mL), a member of the avermectin family. Its mode of
action is that of the avermectin/milbemycin action family of
antiparasitic
agents. It is highly effective against internal and external parasites
sensitive
to this family. Resistance may develop to any chemical.
IVOMEC Pour-On for Cattle and Deer applied at the recommended dose
rate of 500µg of ivermectin per kg liveweight is indicated for the
effective
control of these parasites.
