INTRODUCTION: The ability of IVOMEC to deliver internal and external parasite control in one low volume injection has been demonstrated in cattle markets around the world. Now, Merial offers users dosing flexibility in a topically applied, systemically-active formulation. Discovered and developed by scientists from Merck Research Laboratories, IVOMEC Pour-On for Cattle and Deer contains ivermectin, a unique chemical entity. Its convenience, broad- spectrum efficacy and wide safety margin make it an ideal product for parasite control in cattle and deer. INDICATIONS: IVOMEC Pour-On for Cattle and Deer is a ready to use solution of ivermectin (5 mg/mL), a member of the avermectin family. Its mode of action is that of the avermectin/milbemycin action family of antiparasitic agents. It is highly effective against internal and external parasites sensitive to this family. Resistance may develop to any chemical. IVOMEC Pour-On for Cattle and Deer applied at the recommended dose rate of 500µg of ivermectin per kg liveweight is indicated for the effective control of these parasites.
