Levamisole is proven to be effective over many years use in removing most important mature and immature stages of _Haemonchus, Ostertagia, _ _Trichostrongylus, Nematodirus, Cooperia, Strongyloides, Bunostomum, _ _Oesophagostomum, Chabertia, Trichuris and Dictyocaulus_ in sheep and cattle. It is also very active against susceptible Benzimidazole resistant strains. Levicare is a member of the levamisole family. It is effective against internal parasites sensitive to this family. Resistance can develop to any anthelmintic. Ask your local veterinary practitioner or animal health adviser for recommended parasite management practices for your area to reduce development of resistance. It is advisable that a resistance test be conducted regularly when using any parasite treatment. PRECAUTIONS: DO NOT USE ON ANIMALS WHICH ARE SEVERELY STRESSED OR IN ILL HEALTH. CARE SHOULD BE TAKEN IN HANDLING PREGNANT ANIMALS. DO NOT EXCEED RECOMMENDED DOSE RATES. DOSES OF 3 OR MORE TIMES THOSE RECOMMENDED CAN CAUSE SYMPTOMS OF LEVAMISOLE TOXICITY, SO ESTIMATE BODYWEIGHTS CAREFULLY. DEHYDRATED ANIMALS MAY BE MORE SUSCEPTIBLE TO TOXICITY. FATAL INTERACTIONS MAY OCCUR BETWEEN LEVAMISOLE AND ORGANOPHOSPHATE DIPS. IT IS AN OFFENCE FOR USERS OF THIS PRODUCT TO CAUSE RESIDUES EXCEEDING THE RELEVANT MRL IN THE FOOD NOTICE: MAXIMUM RESIDUE LEVELS FOR AGRICULTURAL COMPOUNDS.
