FIRST AID MEASURES:
Consult the National Poisons Centre on 131126 or a doctor immediately
in every case of
suspected chemical poisoning. Never give fluids or induce vomiting if
a patient is unconscious
or convulsing regardless of cause of injury. If medical
advice/attention is needed, have product
container or label at hand.
INHALATION:
If fumes, aerosols or combustion products are inhaled remove from
contaminated area. Other
measures are usually not necessary.
INGESTION:
If swallowed, DO NOT induce vomiting. If vomiting occurs, lean patient

TECHNICAL NOTES
ACTIVE CONSTITUENTS
Chlorpheniramine maleate 0.4 mg/mL
Ephedrine hydrochloride 1 mg/mL
Dextromethorphan hydrobromide 2 mg/mL
ACTIONS
Dextromethorphan hydrobromide is an antitussive agent with activity
similar to codeine. However, it does not have narcotic action
nor does it depress respiration.
Chlorpheniramine maleate is an antihistamine compound with a high
degree of potency and relative absence of undesirable side
effects. As well as suppressing allergic reactions associated with
respiratory infections, it has mildly sedative properties.
Ephedrine is a sympathomimetic drug with an action similar to
adrenaline although more prolonged. It acts as a bronchodilator and
has been used to relieve cough in bronchial spasm in dogs.
INDICATIONS
Cough suppression in dogs and cats.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
LARGE DOGS: 5 to 10 mL, 2 or 3 times daily.
SMALL DOGS, CATS: 2.5 mL, 2 or 3 times daily.

If poisoning occurs, contact a doctor or Poisons Information Centre on
