GROUP M4 FUNGICIDE
OzCrop Captan 900 WG Fungicide is a member of the multi-site activity
action group of
fungicides. For fungicide resistance management the product is a Group
M4 fungicide.
Some naturally occurring individual fungi resistant to OzCrop Captan
900 WG Fungicide
and other Group M4 fungicides may exist through normal genetic
variability in any fungal
population. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the
fungal population if these
fungicides are used repeatedly. These resistant fungi will not be
controlled by OzCrop
Captan 900 WG Fungicide or other Group M4 fungicides, thus resulting
in a reduction in
efficacy and possible yield loss.
Since the occurrence of resistant fungi is difficult to detect prior
to use, OzCrop Pty Ltd
accepts no liability for any losses that may result from the failure
of OzCrop Captan 900

SECTION 2 - HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
STATEMENT OF HAZARDOUS NATURE
This product is classified as:
Xi, Irritating. T, Toxic. N, Dangerous to the environment. Hazardous
according to the
criteria of SWA.
Not subject to the ADG Code when transported in Australia by Road or
Rail in packages 500kg(L) or less; or IBCs
(refer to SP AU01). However if transported by Air or Sea, this
provision does not apply. Then the product is classed
as Dangerous (Class 9 Environmentally Hazardous) by IATA and IMDG
respectively. See details below and in
Section 14 of this SDS.
RISK PHRASES:
R23, R40, R41, R43, R50. Toxic by inhalation. Limited evidence of a
carcinogenic effect. Risk of
serious damage to eyes. May cause sensitisation by skin contact. Very
toxic to aquatic organisms.
SAFETY PHRASES:

MIXING
OzCrop Captan 900 WG Fungicide mixes readily with water and should not
be pre-mixed. Slowly add the required amount of product to the water
under
agitation in the spray vat. Maintain agitation throughout spraying.
After a
stoppage, thoroughly re-mix before recommencing spraying.
