55833 - Press-fit hip femur prosthesis, modular
The distal straight component has a round profile, is conically shaped with an opening angle of 2?, and achieves its rotational stability over 8 longitudinal ribs that cut into the cortical bone. Manufactured from Protasul-100 (Ti-6Al-7Nb), with a connection taper made of Protasul 21WF (forged CoCr alloy). Intended for uncemented use. The Revitan Revision Stems are intended to help to reduce pain and increase hip mobility through longterm uncemented fixation of total hip arthroplasty (THA) in the femur of patients with an adequate bone stock to support the component. A system consisting of a stem, a ball head and a cup is used for the revision of a previous joint replacement of the hip. The stem is intended to provide connection to specified ball heads, which articulate with the insert.
