Therapeutic indications:

The Device has a 12/14 taper, a CCD angle of 135? and 44mm offset. The lateral side with ribs and grooves is hollow featuring the female part of the Morse taper connection for connection to the distal component. Dorsal & ventral ribs allow press-fit in proximal femur, contributing to primary stability. Used for either a purely distal fixation by using a transfemoral approach or for an endofemoral implantation technique. Manufactured from Titanium alloy (Protasul-100). Uncemented use only. The Revitan? Proximal Cylindrical Body is intended to help to reduce pain and increase hip mobility through long-term uncemented fixation of total hip arthroplasty (THA) in the femur of patients with an adequate bone stock to support the component. A system consisting of a stem, a ball head and a cup is used for the revision of a previous joint replacement of the hip.
