Date of revision WHAT _VELOXIN_ IS USED FOR Veloxin is used for the prevention and treatment of nausea, vomiting or dizziness (vertigo) associated with motion sickness and other disorders of the body's balance (vestibular) system in the inner ear. HOW _VELOXIN_ WORKS Meclozine reduces the action of nerve cells in the motion and balance center of the brain. It prevents vomiting and motion sickness by blocking the brain receptor and slowing the brain activity. BEFORE YOU USE _VELOXIN _ - _When you must not use it _ _ _ Do not take this medicine without consulting any Doctor or Pharmacist. Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to Meclozine, Pyridoxine, or other ingredients listed at the end of this leaflet. _ _ _Pregnancy and lactation _ _ _ Please consult your doctor before start taking Veloxin if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, breast- feeding or intend to breast-feed. Your doctor will have weighed the risks of you taking Veloxin against the benefits they expect it will have for you. Meclozine may be found in breast milk and may stop breast milk production. Therefore, it is not recommended during breastfeeding. _Before you start use it _ Consult your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking Veloxin. - _Taking other medicines _ Tell your doctor if you are taking any other medicines, including any that you buy without a prescription from a pharmacy, supermarket or health food shop.
