Claims: For the treatment of bacterial infections sensitive to Clavulanic Acid and Amoxicillin in dogs and cats. Clinically CLAVASEPTIN has been shown to be effective in treating a wide range of diseases of dogs and cats including: • Skin diseases (including deep and superficial pyodermas) • Urinary tract infection • Respiratory disease (involving upper and lower respiratory tract) • Enteritis CLAVASEPTIN Palatable Tablets have a notably broad spectrum of bactericidal activity against bacteria commonly found in dogs and cats and are indicated for the oral treatment of bacterial infections caused by susceptible organisms. Resistance may develop to any antimicrobial. In vitro CLAVASEPTIN is active against a wide range of clinically important bacteria including: Gram-positive Staphylococcus spp. (including ß-lactamase producing strains) Corynebacterium spp. Streptococcus spp. Gram-negative Escherichia coli (including ß-lactamase producing strains) Salmonella spp. (including ß-lactamase producing strains) Bordetella bronchiseptica; Pasteurella; Proteus mirabilis and other sensitive strains; Klebsiella.
