WHAT AMDEPIN IS USED FOR
Amlodipine Besilate Tablets
belongs to a group of
medicines called calcium
antagonists.
HOW AMDEPIN WORKS
-
High
blood
pressure
(hypertension)
-
Chest pain due to narrowing
of the coronary arteries of the
heart
muscle
(angina
pectoris)
or
the
more
rare
form of chest pain caused by
cramping
of
the
coronary
arteries of the heart muscle
(vasospastic angina)
If you suffer from high blood
pressure, Amlodipine Besilate
Tablets
works
by
relaxing
blood
vessels,
so
that
blood
passes
through
them
more
easily.
If
you
suffer
from
angina
pectoris, Amlodipine Besilate
Tablets
works
by
improving
blood supply to the heart which
then receives more oxygen and
as
a
result
chest
pain
is
prevented. Ask your doctor if

BEFORE YOU TAKE AMDEPIN

Do
not
take
Amlodipine
Besilate tablets if:

You have ever had an allergic
reaction
to
Amlodipine
Besilate
tablets
or
other
calcium
channel
blockers.
These
medicines
include
felodipine,
nifedipine
or
lercanidipine.
Check
with
your doctor or pharmacist if
you are unsure.

Some of the symptoms of an
allergic
reaction
to
Amlodipine
Besilate
tablets
may
include
a
skin
rash
similar
to
hives,
itchiness,
shortness of breath, swelling
of the face, lips or tongue.

You are allergic to any of the
ingredients listed at the end of
this leaflet.
