WHAT AXCEL MICONAZOLE CREAM IS
USED FOR
Axcel
Miconazole
Cream
is
used
topically
in
the
management
of
superficial candidiasis (infections at
the body surfaces) and fungal skin
infections.
HOW
AXCEL
MICONAZOLE
CREAM
WORKS
Miconazole
is
an
imidazole
antifungal
agent
with
some
antibacterial activity.
BEFORE YOU USE AXCEL MICONAZOLE
CREAM
_-When you must not use it _
Do not use Axcel Miconazole Cream
if:
•
It is not prescribed by a qualified
doctor or pharmacist for you.
_-Before you start to use it _
Tell your doctor if:
•
You
are
allergic
to
any
medicines.
•
You
are
taking
and
using
any
other medicines (including those
not prescribed by your doctor).
•
You are on warfarin therapy.
If the above situations apply to you,
talk to your doctor who will decide
what to do.
_-Taking other medicines _
You
should
tell
your
doctor
or
pharmacist
if
you
are
taking
any
other medicines currently.
HOW
TO
USE
AXCEL
MICONAZOLE
CREAM
_-How much to use _
This cream is for external use only.
a.
Skin infections:
Apply
some
cream
to
the
lesions
twice
daily.
Rub
the
cream with your finger until it
has
fully
penetrated
the
skin.
When
all
the
lesions
have
disappeared
(usually
2-5
weeks), prolong treatment for at
least
7
days
to
prevent
the
return of infection.
b.
If irritation occurs or if there is
no
improvement,
discontinue
and
consult
doctor
or
pharmacist.
•
Within 4 weeks for athlete’s
foot
or
•
Within
2
weeks
for
jock
itch.

appropriate
for
you
to
