WHAT CARBOSOL_ _IS USED FOR
For the treatment of long or short term
problems with the breathing passages,
when excessive mucus is present or the
mucus is too sticky.
HOW CARBOSOL_ _WORKS
Carbocysteine, a mucoregulator, reduces
viscosity of mucus as well as protects the
breathing passages against infection and
irritation.
BEFORE YOU USE CARBOSOL
_- When you must not use it _
- you are allergic to carbocysteine or any
of the other ingredients
_of Carbosol. _
- not to be used in children below two (2)
years of age.
_Pregnancy and lactation _
Safety for use in pregnancy has not been
established. Ask your doctor or pharmacist
for advice before taking any medicine.

_Before you start to use it _
Tell your doctor if you have an ulcer in
your stomach or gut.

_Taking other medicines _
Tell your doctor if you are taking any
other medicines, including any that you
buy without a prescription from a
pharmacy, supermarket or health food
shop.
HOW TO USE CARBOSOL_ _

Adults: oral 750mg reduced to 375mg
three times daily when a response is
obtained, daily.
Follow all directions given to you by
your doctor and pharmacist carefully.

Use as directed by your doctor or
pharmacist.

Continue taking Carbosol for as long as
your doctor recommends.

_- If you forget to use it _
Consult your doctor or pharmacist on
what you should do if you forget to use
it.
Take the missed dose as soon as you
remember. If it is almost time for your
next dose, wait until then to take the
medicine and skip the missed dos
