Date of Revision WHAT DOFOMIN IS USED FOR Dofomin contains the active ingredient micronized purified flavonoidic fractions (equivalent to Diosmine 450mg and hesperidine 50mg). Dofomin is used for treatment of haemorrhoids and for signs and symptoms of chronic venous conditions such as heavy legs, cramps, pain and swelling due to water retention. HOW DOFOMIN WORKS It works by reducing the swelling (inflammation) and restoring vein function back to normal. BEFORE YOU USE DOFOMIN_ _ - _When you must not use it_ Do not take Dofomin if you: • Have ever had an allergic reaction or been told that you are allergic to the active ingredient of Dofomin or any of the other ingredients in Dofomin. - _Before you start to use it _ Tell your doctor if you have allergies to any other medicine, foods, preservatives or dyes. If you are not sure whether you should start taking this medicine, consult your doctor. - _Taking other medicines _ Tell your doctor if you are taking any other medicine, including any that you buy without a prescription. You may need to use different amounts of these medicines, or you may need to take different medicines. Your doctor will advise you. However, currently there are no known interaction between Dofomin with other medicines. - _Pregnancy and lactation _ Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine. Your doctor will discuss the risk and benefit of taking Dofomin during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
