WHAT LORATYN DRY SYRUP IS USED FOR

To relief allergy symptoms such as
sneezing, runny and itchy nose and
eye irritation.

To relief signs and symptoms of
raised, red itchy skin (urticaria) and
other allergic skin disorders.
HOW LORATYN DRY SYRUP WORKS
This
medicine
belongs
to
a
group
known as antihistamines, which act to
relieve
the
symptoms
of
allergies.
Histamine is a substance in the body
that
causes
allergic
symptoms.
Loratadine works by blocking histamine
H
1
– receptor, thereby preventing the
binding
of
histamine
to
it
receptors.
This in turn prevents the set off of a
chain
reaction
that
results
in
allergic
symptoms, hence providing relief from
the symptoms of allergies.
BEFORE YOU USE LORATYN DRY SYRUP

you are allergic to loratadine or any
of the ingredients listed at the end
of this leaflet.
