WHAT METOCLODE IS USED FOR
For
prevention
of
nausea
and
vomiting
in
adults,
including
those
that
are
due
to
migraine, after radiation treatment or other
causes. It is a second line treatment option to
prevent
nausea
and
vomiting
caused
by
medicinal treatment for children aged 1 – 18
years old.
HOW METOCLODE WORKS
Metoclopramide
hydrochloride
acts
in
the
part
of
the
brain
that
prevents
nausea
or
vomiting.
BEFORE YOU USE METOCLODE

Do not take

Metoclode if you have
•allergy to metoclopramide or other
ingredients in it.
_ _
• bleeding, blockage or perforation of the
stomach or intestines.
• a tumour near the kidney, known as
pheochromocytoma.
• history of involuntary movement induced
by neuroleptic or metoclopramide.
• epilepsy
• Parkinson's disease
• history of methemoglobinemia (blood
disorder when less oxygen is delivered to
the cells) induced by metoclopramide or of
certain enzyme deficiency.
Not to be used in children less than 1 year.
Pregnancy and Lactation
Safe
use
in
pregnancy
and
breastfeeding
women has not been established.
Metoclopramide should be avoided at the end
of pregnancy. Metoclopramide is excreted in
breast milk at low level. Therefore, it is not
recommended during breastfeeding.

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have:
- nerve problems
- heart problems
- kidney impairment
- liver impairment
_- Taking other medicines _
It should not to be taken with:
-neuroleptics (tranquilizers)
-digoxin (medicine for heart problem)
-ciclosporin (medicine for immune system
condition)
-aspirin and parac
