WHAT MICOZOL IS USED FOR
It is used for treatment of fungal infections
of the skin and nails, including candidiasis,
tinea and pityriasis versicolor (fungal
infection of the skin)
HOW MICOZOL_ _WORKS
Micozol destroys both the fungus that
causes the infection and some of the
associated bacteria which may also be
present.
BEFORE YOU USE MICOZOL
_- When you must not use it _ -
allergic to miconazole or other
ingredients of Micozol.
_- Before you start to use it _
Avoid contact with eyes. Do not bandage
or wrap the treated skin area unless
directed to do so by physician. Do not use
in children under 2 years of age except
under the advice and supervision of a
doctor. It irritation occurs or if there is no
improvement within 4 weeks, discontinue
use and consult a doctor or pharmacist.
Safety for use in pregnancy and during
breastfeeding has not been established.
Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or
breastfeeding.

_- Taking other medicines _
The medicine is for topical application and
will usually have minimal effect on other
medication. However, you must tell your
doctor if you are on warfarin therapy.
HOW TO USE MICOZOL
- _How much to use _
Skin infections - Apply sparingly and
gently rub into the affected area once or
twice daily until lesion has completely
disappeared.
Nail infections - Apply sparingly to the
affected nail twice daily; combine with oral
antimycotic or with a non-porous dressing,
if necessary. Medication to be continued
for full course of treatment to reduce the
possibility of recurrence for 2 weeks.
