WHAT NEUROVIT FORTE TABLET
IS USED
FOR
Neurovit Forte Tablet is used for
treatment of nerve damage and to relief
nerve pain.
HOW NEUROVIT FORTE TABLET WORKS
Neurovit Forte Tablet contains vitamins
B1, B6 and B12 which work together to
supply your nerves with energy, keep
them functioning smoothly, help to
repair and restore nerve function.
BEFORE YOU USE NEUROVIT FORTE TABLET

_When you must not use it _
Do not take Neurovit Forte Tablet if:
•
You are hypersensitive to
vitamins B1, B6 or B12 or
any ingredients listed at the
end of the leaflet.
•
You are having Leber’s
disease, an inherited form
of vision loss.

Pregnancy and lactation
Please
consult

You
must
consult
a
doctor

gout

liver
impairment.

DESCRIPTION
Oblong, peach film-coated tablet, convex faces and scored on one face.
COMPOSITION
Each tablet contains:
Thiamine Mononitrate
242.5 mg
Pyridoxine HC

1.0 mg
ACTIONS AND PHARMACOLOGY
Cyanocobalamin
acts
as
a
coenzyme
for
fat
and
carbohydrate
metabolism.
It
is
essential
for
growth,
cell
replication,
haematopoiesis and nucleoprotein and myelin synthesis. Thiamine
pyrophosphate and pyridoxal phosphate, the physiologically
active forms of thiamine and pyridoxine respectively, act as coenzymes
for various metabolic functions affecting protein,
carbohydrate and lipid metabolism. The B vitamins are readily absorbed
orally except in malabsorption syndromes, metabolised in
the liver and excreted via the kidneys.
INDICATIONS
For treatment of peripheral neuropathy and neuralgias.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Not recommended for patients with Leber's disease since optic nerve
atrophy may occur.
PRECAUTIONS
•
Caution in patients with history of gout or hepatic disease.
•
Do not exceed the recommended dosage during self medication with
Neurovit Forte Tablet; and follow physician's directions if
medication is prescribed.
MAIN SIDE/ADVERSE EFFECTS
Diarrhoea and itching may occur occasionally.
DRUG INTERACTIONS
Neurovit Forte Tablet may reduce the effects of levodopa.
OVERDOSAGE
Neurovit Forte Tablet is usually well tolerated.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
Adults
: Oral, 1 tablet daily; or as directed.
Children : As directed by the physician.
