WHAT TIDACT CAPSULE IS USED FOR
TIDACT CAPSULE is indicated for serious
bacterial infections caused by Staphylococci,
Streptococci (except Streptococcus faecalis),
pneumococci
and
anaerobic
bacterial
infections.
HOW TIDACT CAPSULE WORKS
Clindamycin
inhibits
protein
synthesis
in
susceptible bacteria by binding to the 50s
subunits
of
bacterial
ribosomes
and
preventing peptide bond formation. It is
bacteriostatic or bactericidal, depending on
the concentration

_-When you must not use it _
Contraindicated in patients with a history of
hypersensitivity
to
Clindamycin
or
Lincomycin.

_-Taking other medicines _
Clindamycin and Erythromycin should not
be
administered
concurrently
as
studies
have shown antagonism in vitro.
The
concurrent
use
of
kaolin-containing
anti-diarrheal
preparations
markedly
reduces
the
rate
of
absorption
of
Clindamycin.
HOW TO USE TIDACT CAPSULE
_-How much to use _
Adults:
Serious infections: 150 to 300mg every 6
hours.
More severe infections: 300 to 450mg every
6 hours
Children:
Serious
infections:
8
to
16mg/kg/day
divided to three or four equal doses.
More severe infections: 16 to 20mg/kg/day
divided to three or four equal doses.

Should be taken with food. Take with a
full glass of water.
_-How long to use it _
TIDACT CAPSULE should be taken as
your doctor advised you to do so.
_-If you forget to use it _
If you miss a dose of TIDACT CAPSULE
and you are taking it regularly, take it as
