Consult veterinarian before starting or continuing to use teat dip if
cow’s teats are sore or
chapped. Discard any teat sanitising solution that becomes dirty or
contaminated for any
reason. Good dairy practises suggest the thorough cleaning of teats
before milking to avoid
contamination and assist in the control of mastitis

Post Milking Spraying or Dipping:
Add 1 part of DeLaval KontACT Concentrate to 3 parts of potable water
and agitate until
thoroughly mixed. This dilution of DeLaval KontACT Concentrate will
yield a 0.5% Iodine
teat dip with glycerine. Failure to follow these mixing instructions
may cause injury to
animals or reduce the effectiveness of the product as a teat dip.
Immediately after removing
milking cluster, dip or spray each teat with the diluted solution of
KontACT Concentrate.
Apply an ample coat of diluted solution of KontACT Concentrate to each
teat up to the base
of the udder. Make up a fresh batch of the diluted solution of KontACT
Concentrate for use
each day.
Dip: Use a plastic or other non-metal type container for iodine
solution. Clean out dip cup as
teat dip gets low. Do not top up the dip cup.
Spray: Spray upwards from underneath the teats, not from the side and
ensure the whole
surface of each teat is covered and a droplet forms on the teat end.
