WAT IS PHYSIONEAL 40 EN WAARVOOR WORDT DIT MEDICIJN GEBRUIKT?
Physioneal 40 is een oplossing voor peritoneale dialyse. De oplossing
verwijdert water en afvalproducten uit
het bloed en corrigeert abnormale waarden van verschillende
bloedbestanddelen. Physioneal 40 bevat
verschillende concentraties aan glucose (1,36 %, 2,27 % of 3,86 %).
Hoe hoger de glucoseconcentratie van
de oplossing, hoe groter de hoeveelheid water die uit het bloed van de
patiënt wordt verwijderd.
Physioneal 40 kan in de volgende gevallen worden voorgeschreven:
•
tijdelijk of permanent nierfalen;
•
ernstige vochtretentie;
•
ernstige verstoring in de zuur- of basegraad (pH) en het zoutgehalte
van het bloed;
•
bepaalde typen medicijnenintoxicatie waarvoor geen andere behandeling
beschikbaar is.
