ACTIVE CONSTITUENT
Each mL contains Dinoprost 5mg (as Dinoprost trometamol).
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
READ PACKAGE INSERT PRIOR TO USE
For intramuscular injection only.
Dose Rate:
_CATTLE: _5mL equivalent to 25mg of Dinoprost into the anterior half
of the neck.
_HORSES: _1mL equivalent to 5mg Dinoprost. At this level abortion
occurs at days 5 – 35 of gestation. After 35
days’ gestation, give repeated daily injections until abortion
occurs.
_PIGS:_ 2mL equivalent to 10mg Dinoprost behind the ear to induce
parturition.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Do not administer intravenously. Do not use on pregnant animals unless
abortion is intended. Induced parturition
may precipitate dystocial, foetal death, retained placenta or
metritis. Induction of parturition in swine earlier than
72 hours prior to the predicted farrowing date may result in piglet
mortality. Avoid use in cattle, horses, or pigs
suffering from acute or sub-acute disorders of the vascular system,
gastrointestinal tract, respiratory system, or
reproductive tract
WITHHOLDING PERIOD
Milk: Nil. Meat: Nil.
STORAGE
Store below 25°C (room temperature).
Once broached, product can be used for up to 28 days.
