WHAT CARNITOR CHEWABLE TABLETS ARE AND WHAT THEY ARE USED FOR Carnitor chewable tablets contain levocarnitine which is a type of protein. They are used to treat primary and secondary carnitine deficiency in adults and children over 12 years of age. Carnitine deficiency occurs when the body has a shortage of levocarnitine. Carnitor chewable tablets make up for your body’s lack of levocarnitine and help give your body more energy. 2. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE YOU TAKE CARNITOR CHEWABLE TABLETS _ _ DO NOT TAKE CARNITOR CHEWABLE TABLETS: - if you are allergic to levocarnitine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6.) It is advisable to monitor therapy by measuring free and acyl carnitine levels in both plasma and urine.
