A. 20.1.1. Broad and medium spectrum antibiotics.
PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION
Ciprofloxacin is a synthetic, 4-quinolone derivative and inhibits gyrase-mediated DNA supercoiling.
It has in vitro bactericidal activity against the following Gram-negative and Gram-positive organisms. In vitro sensitivity
does not necessarily imply in vivo efficacy.
